Counselling is not about one person imposing their will or experience on another. Instead, it’s about offering guidance, new perspectives, ideas, and options that encourage a balanced view and potentially a different path forward. It’s a process of reflection, contemplation, and reframing, but it only unfolds when the timing is right.

So, when is the right time? It’s when, deep within, you sense that your current situation can’t continue, that change is necessary, and that change must happen soon. And when might that be? It’s when you find yourself reading pages like this one.

An informal introductory session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore whether counselling is the right approach for you. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, which may bring up painful memories and emotions, but it can also offer a sense of relief and hope—especially in knowing that you’ve taken action to find resolution.

This first appointment also helps set expectations for therapy and provides a space for you to ask any questions before committing to a series of sessions.

Our first session will focus on getting to know one another and creating a clear picture of your old self.
